FLAG ETIQUETTE

VFW post 6710 has a flag retirement drop box on the front right side of our building at 1130 N Lincoln St, Wilmington, OH 45177. 
 
  • Function: It serves as a collection point for flags that are no longer fit for display.
  • Purpose: To ensure the flags are retired with the honor and respect they deserve via a formal ceremony.
  • Process: Once the box is full, the flags are collected and burned in a formal flag retirement ceremony.
